US National Aeronautics and Space Administration(NASA) exhibited a photo captured by space probe Juno from the inside of the rings of Jupiter.
According to a statement from the U.S. agency, Juno, dedicated to the study of Jupiter, captured that first image of the slim ring of Jupiter from inside on August 27,2016, during its first flyby.
The spacecraft took this snapshot, now published by the members of the mission, with his star tracking navigation camera.
'What you see is a ring of dust that is 64 thousand kilometers from Juno, and stars located hundreds of light-years away,' explained the researcher in charge of monitoring the radiation of the mission at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), Heidi Becker.
According to the experts from NASA, the rings of Jupiter system has three main components: a pair of very thin outer rings, one main ring, wide and flat, and another thick internal ring, named 'The Halo'.
The experts considered the rings seem to be created by the dust released by the impacts on small moons.
The rings of Jupiter, observed for the first time in 1979 by NASA Voyager 1 probe, are a system of planetary rings that surround the celestial body.
That system is the third discovered in the solar system, after that of Saturn and Uranus.
