The Tigers of Uzbekistan broke the unbeaten record of the Domadores (Tamers) of Cuba in the 8th World Boxing Series (WSB) winning the match between them 4-1 in this capital.
The only Cuban victorious fighter in the match, was World Champion in Hamburg 2016 Andy Cruz (64 kilograms) who won his match against Ikboljon Kholdarov for the 3rd time in his boxing career, this time a divided vote of 2-1 (50-45, 47-48, 47-48).
The four victories of the Tigers of Uzbekistan were by unanimous decision of the judges.
The gold medalist of Rio-2016 in the 49 kilograms, Hasanboy Dusmatov, won his match by triple 48-47 against the world title holder Johanys Argilagos, while the two-time Olympic Champion under of 2012 and 2016 in 56 kilos, Robeisy Ramiérez, lost against former 52 kilos Shakhobidin Zoirov.
In the 75 kilograms, Israil Madrimov, was an easy-way winner 50-45 over 2016 Olympic Champion Arlen López.
Light-heavyweight Sanjar Tursunov (91 kilos) took revenge of his last presentation before Erislandy Savón in the last edition of the WSB and defeated his Cuban contender by a triple result of 48-47.
This failure leaves the Cuban team in 11 victories and four defeats in the present contest, in which they will have their next presentation the coming March 23 before the Caciques of Venezuela, who will receive them in the José María Vargas Dome, in Maiquetía.
