Traces
- Written by Mónica Brizuela Chirino
Everybody leaves a mark. No matter the circumstance, the person or the profession. To leave a trace means that a legacy will endure beyond limits, barriers and diversity of thinking, it will mark the life of people.
The gallery of the Casa del Joven Creador of Pinar del Rio displays a personal exhibition of photographer Armando Marrero Gómez, which includes 14 photos of intellectuals and personalities of the local culture.
The traces are the route of the path already walked; everything is done all along time, things for which recognition is earned, either for love, taste, initiative or simply improvisation.
Many intellectuals of the province are represented in this collection, which shows in black and white pictures more than whom they are.
Figures like Luis Hidalgo Ramos, anchor; writers Nersys Felipe and Juan Antonio Martínez de Osaba, painter Humberto Hernández “El Negro”; movie critic Frank Padrón, the Ministry of Culture Abel Prieto Jiménez, and many more are part of the exhibition.
