Pinar del Rio readies for the 26th edition of the International Book Fair, to be held from March 8-12, with proposals for all kind of readers in 370 titles and 17 000 copies available.
In the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the city, the Fair will extend to the Provincial History Museum dedicated to children’s literature and to Ramon Gonzalez Coro library n charge of book releases.
All the Cuban publishing houses will be represented and in the case of local Ediciones Loynaz, it will count on 42 new titles edited and designed in the province.
In 25 years, Ediciones Loynaz has published over 400 books and that shows the importance of the Cuban state to fostering reading habits.
Last month, the national edition of the Fair took place in Havana, and it was dedicated to intellectual and essayist Armando Hart, and Canada was the guest of honour.
