A Museum Is its Collection

The exhibition Otra vez (Again), opened at the Art Museum of Pinar del Rio, proposes a selection of the collection of the institution.

The display is made up by 15 pieces of 12 artists, and it includes painting, sculpture, posters...and stand out authors such as Arturo Montoto, Juan A. Suárez Blanco, among others.
With some works already known by the people, and new ones, the exhibit intends to show a discursive line from the assembly and curatorship of de Juan Carlos Rodríguez Valdés y Orlando Mireles, even when the pieces differ from authors and dates.
According to the catalogue of the exhibition “A museum is its collection. Hence that its mission is to treasure works that validate it".
The exhibit will be open until March.
