Local Professors Attend International Pedagogy Congress

Over 30 professionals represent Pinar del Rio in the 15th edition of the International Pedagogy Congress 2017 taking place in Havana’s international Convention Center with the participation of prestigious Cuban and foreign professors and researchers.

According to Master Deisy Coste Maqueira, deputy director of Education in the province, the local teachers attending the event joined the motto “For the unity of educators”, and developed research papers that will contribute to increase the quality of the system.
Prior to the Congress, Pinar del Rio organized events in schools of the city and in the municipalities in order to hold debates on important topics such as the formation of values and social education, as well as the integration of the school, the family and the community.

In addition, the papers tackled the role of History in the political and patriotic formation of students, the legacy of Marti and Fidel in the life of Cubans, the contribution of the educative practice to the development of science, as well as other aspects.
The best experiences of the province in regard to education are socialized at Pedagogy 2017 underway until February 3.
