The electric service in Pinar del Río is rehabilitated.
Five days from the impact of hurricane Michael in Pinar del Rio, electricity service has been restored in the province at its 99 percent, thanks to the contribution of several brigades from Havana, Mayabeque, Cienfuegos, Villa Clara and Sancti Spíritus.
More than 900 electrical workers collaborated in the restoration, grouped into five contingents of linemen, six brigades of repairers of generating sets of electricity generation and a brigade to repair emergency groups.
"There were damaged 11 sub transmission circuits, 337 poles, 26 transformers, 6.18 km of split conductor, and 64 insulators" in all the province, as vice president of the Provincial Defense Council Ernesto Barreto Castillo stated.
Yosvany Torres, director of the Electric Company of Pinar del Rio, assured the local press that the electrical interruptions that remain in Sandino, San Juan, San Luis and Pinar del Rio will be fixed.
