Flower Shop with Attractive Proposals in Pinar del Río

When Olga Lidia Roque Corrales decided to lease a space in the main street of the city, she did not imagine that her flower shop Detalles con amor (Details with love) would be among the favorite spots of the locals, who longed for places like this.

The initiative is part of the efforts to fill the province with attractive and useful facilities in occasion of the 150th anniversary of the city. Roque Corrales explained that it is a family business, since apart from the two female employees; her husband and son also work there. Likewise, many of the flowers they sell are cultivated in their farm, located in the outskirts of the city, which first belonged to her parents.

She noted that they mostly use orchids and mariposas (the national flower) from the farm, while the roses, with high demand by the population come from Havana. “Little by Little, the people have identified themselves with our service due to the offers, which go from flowers for three Cuban pesos to more expensive bouquets, cards, wrapping paper, balloons, teddy bears and craftworks, plus home delivery services, Olga stressed. At present they have contracts with the state and have options for sweethearts, friends and families; as well as for funerals. We are open from eight in the morning to 10 in the evening, although sometimes people call late at night requesting flowers for funeral rites, added Roque Corrales.

Elizabeth Mitjans, one of the regular clients, showed her satisfaction for the floral arrangement she bought for her mother on Valentine’s Day.

On the other hand, young Pablo Ernesto González is a regular customer as well looking for roses and cards for her wife so as not to miss important events.

Both of them expressed their joy to count on a project with new offers for the people who live in Pinar del Rio.

Despite the small dimensions of the place, its personnel have earned the acceptance of the people of all ages, thanks to the quality of the services and the good taste in each of the proposals.
