Improving the first impression the city gives to any visitor is the goal of the members of a brigade in charge of the area that covers the bridge to enter Las Ovas community until the Pinar del Rio Hotel.
Some of the actions include reforesting the zone, clearing other areas, replacing the vegetation, repairing the road, painting surrounding buildings and placing billboards. Together and Coordinated
The fact of being selected to host the national event for the 26 of July celebrations give the province a different pace.
One of the tasks of impact is the positioning of 13 billboards, which reflect the economic and social work of the territory.
On kilometre 98 of the Central Road there is one dedicate to La Güira Park, in the bridge to Las Ovas, another representing Viñales and from there to the city there are more dedicated to our Olympic champions; to expressions of the local culture; education and health. There are also topics like fishing, mining, food industry, agriculture, tobacco, the Guanahacabibes Peninsula, Electronic Components and the city.
In the outskirts of the city, some street lights were replaced by led lamps and in areas without light some traditional lamps have been placed. The gardening of the central separator has been replaced by yellow and green vegetation, since these are the colors that represent the territory.
Forest workers advance in the attention to the lateral areas of the freeway, and as an additional element, the centers and entities located in those areas should be painted.
No second chances
There is no second chance to make a first impression, and that is undeniable. For that reason, preparing the city to make visitors fall for it at first sight is the intention of the workers of the brigade and they insist on it.
