The westernmost part of Cuba continues with the presence of the rain due to the wide low-pressure area located in the Yucatan peninsula and very close to Pinar del Río.
With no fear to the bad weather the locals took umbrellas, raincoats... and continue to do their daily activities. These recent rainfalls are positive for the territory, since the 24 reservoirs of the province are recovering and this morning the sheet of rain accumulated registered 224 millimetres, which represents 109 percent of the average rain sheet in June.
