Ranchón Cabañas Complex: an Attractive Option

The Ranchón Cabañas complex, located in Santa Lucia village, is one of the most attractive places of Minas de Matahambre municipality, with services of lodging, pool, game area and restaurant, apart from a special view for those who love the sea.

Julio Hernández, manager of the resort, explained that the facilities, formerly part of the Ministry of Construction, became part of the Lodging and Gastronomy Company of Pinar del Rio two years ago, in order to offer services to the population. “We have a large 'ranchón' with a restaurant and a bar. We count on all the supplies to do our job. The place is sometimes leased for weddings, birthday parties and company cocktails, plus we have a menu of traditional Cuban food for the visitors and those who stay in the cabins, and we also have room service”, said the manager.

According to María del Carmen López, lodging specialist, the complex includes six cabins in excellent constructive conditions, with beds, refrigerators, air-conditioning, TV, for 140 Cuban pesos. Those who wish to rent a room can do it at the reservation desk of the 12-story building of the city of Pinar del Río, or in the very complex”. The main attractions of the place include the beautiful sea landscape, the proximity to Cayo Jutías beach and El Copey camping site, plus the swimming pool service.
