Workers, Early to Parade

Since early in the morning everybody gathers defying nature perhaps, because convictions overcome setbacks. Today, the people of Pinar del Río, without morning laziness and despite intermittent drizzles, hurry up towards the platform.
It is May Day and many attend for the first time to the celebration of the unionists and workers, but others recall past experiences and together carry the image of the greatest guide of all proletarians, that Fidel, who for the first time won’t be physically present to see Cubans chant the International.
