Cuba and Panama Hold Fourth Round of Talks on Immigration

Cuba and Panama held the fourth round of talks on immigration, chaired by Ana Teresita Gonzalez, Cuban vice minister of Foreign Affairs, and Javier Carrillo, Panamanian general director of the National Service of Immigration from the ministry of Security.

According to the website of the Cuban Foreign Ministry, the two delegations assessed the immigration flow during the working sessions held on February 28th and March 1st. They also assessed the implementation of the Protocol for sharing information taken by immigration authorities from the two countries.

They also signed a Memorandum of Understanding on this subject to ensure a regular, safe and organized immigration flow between both countries and increase bilateral cooperation to fight illegal trafficking of people, said the website.
